Phone lines are reserved for patients who are unable to use the internet and for requesting EMERGENCY appointments for sick patients who need to be seen on the same day OR the next day.

We kindly request that all internet-capable patients respect this policy so that sick patients and patients who cannot use the internet can get through on our phone lines.

If you are an older patient you can always ask a family member to help you use our website.

How to request an appointment

  • Please fill out the form on the right of this page

  • An email will be sent to you with your appointment time. Please ensure you do not have a spam-blocker installed. Please check your spam folder if you have not received an email

  • If you need to change/cancel the appointment time please do so using the link in your email

  • GP appointments are 15 minutes long

  • During this time your GP can safely handle one big problem and one small problem

  • If you have more than two problems to discuss with your GP we request that you book a second appointment

  • Medical Card Holders and GP Visit card holders will not be charged for appointments. Private Patients will be charged a fee for the consultation and a fee for any additional services

  • If you are booking a Nursing appointment, you must specify why you are attending the Nurse. Please use the ‘Special request’ section of the form to do this

  • If you are booking a smear test, You MUST have authorisation from Cervicalcheck.ie for this test

    This means you must have checked the register to ensure you are due a test and have received the emailed letter

  • Smear tests are performed by the practice nurse

  • Appointments are for existing patients of Tubbercurry family practice
