Blood Tests are useful for monitoring a number of markers in your blood stream for:

Risk Factor Modification eg. Cardiac risk, Stroke Risk, Rheumatology bloods, Gout Acid levels

Drug Monitoring e.g Thyroid Levels, Prolia, Blood Thinners, Warfarin, Lithium

Symptoms Investigation e.g Fatigue, Itch, Jaundice, Pain, Lumps

Blood tests can only be interpreted properly after your GP has examined you and you’ve told the GP the story behind your symptoms (This is called a medical history). Once this is done, blood tests can be interpreted properly.
