Storm Eowyn - Reopening update -posted 25/1/25 - Message updated 26/1/25
Power has been restored to the health centre in Tubbercurry. We are trying our best to reopen the practice on Monday the 27th. However, there remain significant barriers to reopening;
Internet and phone services are still out in the health centre
Travel for staff and patients on local roads in/out of Tubbercurry is an ongoing safety concern
Heating in the building
Additionally, all the vaccines will need to be catalogued for temperature and checked with the National Vaccine Service. This may affect our ability to give scheduled childhood immunisations in the coming days. We will do our best to minimize the disruption.
We will provide a further update on Sunday the 26th. Along with emergency cover details, should the practice be unable to reopen on Monday.
Caredoc have rostered additional staff to help with the increased demand over the weekend. They can be contacted on 0818 365 399, and provide a 24 hour service for our patients until Monday morning at 0900.
UPDATE SUN 26/1/25
We will attempt to re-open the practice on Monday the 27th. We expect disruption to routine appointment times, while we assess our phones, IT systems, and medical supplies.
We will endeavor to prioritize those very-ill patients, as well as the young and old, who may need urgent medical attention.
We would appreciate your ongoing understanding and patience in this matter.
