UPDATE FOR PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM COVID
The most recent strain of COVID has been circulating locally and has caused quite severe flu like symptoms in both vaccinated and unvaccinated patients.
We ask all patients with Flu-like symptoms NOT to attend the practice in person. We request that you instead:
Carry out an antigen test at home
If you are postive for COVID - call the practice and request a phone-consultation with the doctor
Patients who are COVID negative, and believe they have a chest infeciton may attend a practice wearing a face mask. They will need to first inform our reception team of the results of their COVID test.
This will not affect the care of sick children who we will continue to prioritise.
You do not need to attend the practice in person to be certified as sick - a doctor can provide you with a sick cert after a phone consultation.
We kindly request that all patients respect our COVID policy fo the sake of our older, younger and pregnant patients who will be attending the practice, and who are more vulnerable to illness.
Finally, financial supports for COVID were ended in 2023 by the Irish government. Private patients requiring phone-consultations for COVID Care will be subject to a charge as set out in the fees section of this website.
Thank you for understanding.
